Left for Dead 2, they fixed a lot of problems that I was annoyed about in the original Left for Dead.

The first was better in my opinion. I do like some of the things they added in the second games, but I didn't like the characters, maps, and zombies as much as the first game.

I prefer the first one to be honest. I like the old maps and the characters where MUCH better.

Left 4 Dead 2. It just was way better than the first one. First one was good but the second one got better.

I liked the first one better.
The characters were generally much more relatable than the second bunch, I found and the first had better not-so-clustered maps.
There was a more feel of desperation because you were limited on the types of items you could carry. Rather than in L4D2 with the added items, you could probably get through the majority of things with the 3 bot army behind you.

i voted for left 4 dead 1 as i thought it was a bit better than the second one. the second one, left 4 dead 2 is still good too though

Left 4 Dead 1 is better in my opinion, played the second game and thought that gameplay wasn't as good as the first episode even if graphics were a bit better
