a lot of people tend to buy each year's addition because of new players and the teams get rearranged in accordance to the actual NFL teams. So big sports fans tend to like those games.

I agree, it is wierd, I personally buy football/soccer games but not every year.
They do change things - slightly, and you get updated teams and stuff.
Fifa is terrible at this, same old game each year!

You sure understand it more when you actually play the game, there are new features every year and it keeps the game updated with the real life game, I honestly prefer having a new FIFA game each year rather than having a DLC update it for me.

I've had Crouch up front who may I see is an amazing player in FIFA 13 and I didn't quite get to use him that well in FIFA 12 but he is a very good player in FUT 13 and you should definitely check him out.

Well most of the time it's because of the graphics, teams, rosters, new players, plays, and the fact that everyone else buys them so it's going to be harder to play on Xbox Live if no one owns the old game anymore

I just love football games. They make you do stuff that you've dreamed of like let's say... MANAGE MAN UNITED? Or CHELSEA? Or BARCELONA? It makes you feel good and brings imagination into your own hands.

Everyone loves football, so it's a no brainer. Plus since there's endless matchups, and a decent player storyline in a lot of sports games in general, they're really fun!

Whether this is for European football or American football, I think ti applies to both. My situation is for American Football.
I tend to play Dynasty mode, so i take my team and I build it for the future. It's improving the team over time, and building towards something, a championship. I rarely, if ever, play a single game. That is boring. Unless I'm playing another person, which usually makes for an interesting time.
I don't buy a new one every year, but almost every other year to keep up with the changes/upgrades in gameplay. The roster updates aren't really a big deal for me.

Football games are popular because they allow you to do more than just watch a football game. It allows you to interact with it, use it as your own "coaching" strategies, and with the kinect you can now even feel like your playing in a real football game. It's the same reason why fantasy drafts are so popular, with football games you can add who you want, and make the perfect team you have always dreamed of.

Football games are popular because of the gigantic fan base the sport has. As said above, you could just watch the game on television, or you could play it. I think video games are a good way for fans to develop so-called relationships with their favorite players. For example, some fans figure out their favorite player through video games.

Football games are so popular because it features insainly realistic game of football fifa and pes really does a great job while recreating how players look and how good they are. I'm personaly very huge fan of fifa and pes i thing their just amazing
