Edit function

Hey Sean! Is it possible to increase the time a user can edit his/hers post? How long is it now? A matter of minutes? Not many hours, that is for sure. Could it be increased to 24 hours? And add a feature where it shows what new information the user has input to the post/topic.
Because it sucks if you make spelling error in the topic tittle or want to add some new information about the subject, you are needed to make a new post entirely. If longer edition period is not an option for you, do you know if there is something where a user can somehow combine his posts (if the user is the topic starter).

Or so that you at least can edit the first post when you are the starter of the topic.

I have increased it by a few hours

Few hours is still so little :( Could you maybe increase it to like 12 hours? Because I'm trying to help you get a good base to your forum, so that when new users come there is a lot of good content. And the first reply on the topic is the first thing a user sees. I agree it doesn't look good if there is another post under it by me, but that is all I can do without the edit function. And I don't always have all the information at hand. I mean I can make a topic while I'm at school, and when I get home I find something that I want to add, but can't use the edit function anymore. So you want me to just leave my topics half way?

Cause I can never know when I make that topic if I find something more. That comes infront of me while I surf around the web.
You don't want people to have more information on the subject?
