Nice forum layout my friend, I however found the registration process slightly tedious. I think you should remove the e-mail confirmation and let members' passwords be what they want.

The password setting is set so that the passwords are slightly more complex rather than a simple word or so which may be easier guessed.
About the E-mail conformation..
I prefer to have it this way, so new members have to confirm that they own the email being used.
If your account automatically activates without needing the email conformation, people could use other peoples emails to sign up.

Much like how Nintendo also had the NSider forums, this reminds me of it only for Xbox systems and such. I was one of the Nsider and Xbox original forum users, and got mad when they changed the NSider forum. :(
I remember Xbox having a similar forum back then, but they also changed into 'support only'..
