What Your Role Is On XboxLiveFan.org..Your job on the forum is to keep an eye out for rule breakers & generally make sure the forum is free of spam & mis-placed posts. If you see a topic which a member has posted in the wrong forum, move it to the correct one. If a member posts a topic which isnt allowed anywhere on the forum, then move it to the " Deleted Posts" forum (Located at the very bottom of the forum index & is only visible to Administrators & Moderators). Do Not use the Delete button for the post or topic, simply Move it using your Mod Tools to Trash. You should also keep your eye out for dublicate battles in the " XLF Battleground", if you see a battle created which has already been created by another member, remove the most recent created one (to the trash/deleted posts forum), Never use delete! If it is a reply that you want to trash, but the topic which it is on is fine, then you will have to Split the post from the topic & move it to the " Deleted Posts" forum. You will also have the ability to Warn & Ban members. (More info in next paragraph). About Warning & Banning Members..As a Moderator on the Xbox Live Fan forum, you are able to give out warnings to members that break our rules. You are also able to ban members from using the forum at all. Each warning given to a member will stay with them for a 90 day period, if a member accumulates 3 warnings at any one time, that member should be banned (for life). I have listed below the reasons why a member would deserve to be warned by you.. - Advertising in their topics or replies,
- Being rude or arguing with other members,
- If they argue with you for a warning you previously gave them,
- Repeatedly wrongly reporting posts.
As well as warning members, there may be, in some cases, the need to ban a member straight off, rather than waiting untill the 3rd warning. This would be in a rare instance, but may be called for. I have listed the reasons below why a member should be given a direct ban, instead of a warning.. - If you Know a member is a banned member that has created a second account.
When banning a member, you should also ban the email that is being used by that account.
There is more stuff in it for you to read through if you dont know something or whatever. Please familerize yourself with the forum so you know where posts should be, etc.. for if you come accross misplaced posts. Remember: You must Never delete posts, Always move posts to the "Deleted Posts" forum instead!

i have read and understand the guide you posted. i would just like to point out a mis spelled word. the word duplicate is spelled dublicate. its in the first paragraph where it talks about the battles. i will look at the full guide if and when i become mod. and i will go look at the forum now. thanks sean

Hello, I would like to put my name forwards for a moderator position. I have had a lot of experience in positions on forums including administrator and moderator. I currently run my own forum and have previously been a moderator on other gaming forums.
I have the time available to visit the forums on a regular basis, normally in the latter half of the day (GMT).
In addition to this application I am also interested in the XLF Achievement Writer list post.

That's fine, i'm actually on a 2 week course starting on 18th Nov so won't have much access to the site anyway so it's better if I join the team after the comp.
All I was wondering is there a requirement of how many or how often I need to write lists?

Great, so the comp will be rinning untill the end of the month, so at the start of december, you can start the XLF Achievement Writer job. No, there isnt a minimum number of achievement lists you have to write per day, week, etc.. Just that you do not leave large amounts of time go by without doing any. One per week or something as a rough minimum, but up to you. You could not do an achievement list one week, but then do a couple the following week, or similar, so it is quite flexable if you have other stuff to fill your day too Would you like to know anything else? There is an Intro/Guide that you can have a read at in the staff room when you actually start the job, so that will explain most hings to you too Thanks for wantin to join the team and help us grow
