I personally feel the Turtle Beach is a bit over hyped.
You hear about it so much and sure it is a great headset but the amount it gets hyped out throws people off from discovering other headsets that are just as good or far better for the same price or even costing less.
My xbox was modded to work with my PC headset which is by technical specifications, far better.

Whilst I haven't tried them, I would say they are far overhyped, sort of like those Dr Dre Beats in some respect. I have tried a pair of beats against a £40 Sennhieser headphone and the £40 was much better I found than the Beats which are like £200 and for me, the same would probably apply to TB's.
