OK, I know this is weird but people have named their cars, their computers and even their sports gear ("Ol' Sluggy"). A housemate of mine has named his PS3 "Sparky" because of a bad power cord connection that happened a while back. Have you named YOUR console?

That would be funny we could barely agree on a name for our pets I don't think we could come up with a mutually agreeable name for our Xbox. I do suspect that my husband has it named but he has never shared it with me. He might actually love the Xbox more than he loves me. If he had to choose I would be worried so I am sure he has a name for the thing.

If it ever comes down to a choice between you and the Xbox I'm sure you could always accidentally trip and drop a concrete block on it ... ... or him.

I have never named my consoles. My husband names his cars, but I think that this is more of a guy thing.

I asked him if he had a name for the Xbox and he said no but I do like your concrete block plan at least I if it were an accident I could collect life insurance.

I named my Xbox after a former girlfriend, because although they both brought me many hours of great joy they were also quite expensive to maintain and they both ran hot.

I cannot say that I have in any way thought of naming any piece of hardware and I've actually never heard of anyone name any piece or hardware, not just in xbox's. I have just not heard of this at all.
I can't see anything that would bring me to ever naming an xbox, nor any other piece of technology but it is an interesting thing to read of, nonetheless.

No, I had never even thought about doing that. I just call them by the system name. I can't see myself naming a piece of technology, just like Karoshio.
