Now I wanted to entitle it "Kinect sucks", but yeah, I worded it really lightly. So yeah, What are the cons/negatives of the kinect? Not easy to move around with, even less easy to set up a game with it.

It's alright I s'pose, pretty cool moving things with your hand, but theres not many games for it, its certainly sold loads, my cousin put one on ebay and it sold within 5minutes! So it is certainly popular

It's a novelty and over hyped to make people feel that they are missing out if they do not have one. Ideally it is going to be used more if you have young children. However it is also very impractical as you need quite a bit of space, and square space, NO ONE HAS their tv in the middle of a wall, people put their TV's in a corner.

Not all games can be played on Kinect, some game requires a controller which sucks. Like if you wanted to play a game on Kinect where you have powers/abilities and one of your abilities is flying, how you going to do that with Kinect?

I thought the Wii's sensor was bad until I got a Kinect. It sucks in every possible way.

The kinect is quite sensitive, in all fairness.
However, you do need a ridiculously big space to actually use it properly, which many people don't have. I got mine for £9, I'll take the cons. ;)

My hubby does well with all the games that have a sensor to pick him up but I have trouble getting them to even recognize me. I will be standing there playing a game and I just disappear. Some of the time it won't pick me up at all and my hubby just keeps telling me I am doing it wrong so I try it his way and it still does not read me but it reads my dog all the time I don't get that.
I love that you can talk to it and it responds but I found out several times while talking on the phone or yelling at the dog that you have to be careful what you say. I have had it froward a movie I was streaming and then it didn't want to listen to what I had to say next.
Over all I find the thing frustrating but I think it has potential. I do like it better than the Wii I had a lot of trouble using that one.

Not many games, the games are catered more for the young in body, the sensor needs quite a space to work(which now can be fixed with a third-party accessory) and the price of it is pretty high(even the ps vita seems like a better option).

My TV is on the middle of a wall, haha. Much easier for the shape of my room! Kinect rocks though, sure it is over-hyped like most things ought out from companies today but looking behind the over-marketing, it is a very nice piece of kit and one that has bought my gaming experience to a whole new level.

Not only is the price tag pretty darn high, but there is nothing truly special that warrants buying it. Adding to that, it's also a copy of The Wii, which we know is much more successful then the Kinect.

There are my thoughts about the kinect. When I first got it I loved it and thought it was the most amazing thing in the world. But after a while I got bored with it, and now it hasn't been played in months.

- You need a large area to move about in.
- It's similar to a Wii.
- The choice of games mainly seem to be family games.
- You get tired easily.

Space is a huge limit with the kinect. I live in a small room, so I cannot use it for anything besides voice operations like 'Xbox turn off' 'xbox play game' ect.
